Robinhood Review

Robinhood is a legit company and publicly traded in the exchange. The mobile-only brokerage lets you trade stocks, options, exchange-traded funds, and cryptocurrency without paying commissions or account fees.

Although Robinhood has not faired well in media and from some users online, it has amassed over 28 million users. Currently, Robinhood has a 4.1 rating out of 5 stars in the App Store with millions of reviews. It also scores a 3.8 out of 5-star rating in the Google Play Store with over 400k reviews.

In our Robinhood review, we learned the online brokerage is best for inexperienced investors looking for simplicity. It has the significant features needed for active investors or those who want to trade actively but have little experience.

Robinhood does not offer access to mutual funds, bonds, or futures trading. If that’s securities you’d like to trade, you’ll need to go elsewhere. Additionally, Robinhood may offer some educational resources, but it’s not intended as investment advice.

1 Review For This Product

  1. 01

    by Jason Vitug

Robinhood Review: Is it worth it?

I was one of Robinhood’s early users even though I wasn’t much of an active trader. I was compelled to join to learn how to make trades. I found the app to be easy to use and not overwhelming. That’s usually what’s kept me from buying individual stocks.

In this brief Robinhood review, you’ll come to understand how this app is still a contender even though many of the traditional brokerages have launched commission-free trades. Robinhood was built from the ground up with a focus on simplicity and useability. That’s what makes it stand out for newbie investors and for those seeking an uncomplicated way to buy and sell stocks or ETFs.

    Pros and Cons

    Pros
    ✓ Free trades
    ✓ No minimum deposits
    ✓ Fractional shares

    Cons
    ☓ Limited functionality

If you’re a newbie investor, Robinhood is an app to definitely consider. You can’t go wrong with the no-fee approach to keeping investing low cost.
