Is LifeLock Legitimate and Safe?

LifeLock is a legitimate company and uses top-level security to protect and monitor your identity. The confusion some people have about LifeLock is the services and protections offered.

LifeLock is not a scam. Many consumer’s complaints with the Better Business Bureau centered on the claim that LifeLock offered $1,000,000 identity theft protection. This protection isn’t used to recover funds have been stolen or repay credit used fraudulently. It’s used to offset the legal or other expert costs.

LifeLock’s Identity Theft Protection

LifeLock offers consumers a choice between 3 options. Regardless of which monthly service you choose, LifeLock gives you standard basic protections. For example, they provide 24/7 customer support through their Identity Alert System. And if you lose your wallet, LifeLock provides wallet protection. You can call them and report the wallet stolen or lost and they will cover any fraudulent activity from the point on. Additionally, LifeLock will reduce personal information exposure online and limit spam email.

Each of LifeLock’s plan is for a monthly subscription service. They are offering three membership plans with varying degree of protection. You can select the service that meets your needs. Will LifeLock Really Protect Your Identity

There is no service that exists that is 100 percent reliable. Unfortunately, the reality is that fraudsters continue to find ways to get your information and use it for their illegal activity. LifeLock is a proactive measure to help you stay on top of any potential fraud. The services they offer can help you gain peace of mind and feel secure.

Experiencing identity theft is a time-extensive and frustrating process. Having LifeLock or another company may help lessen the time and pain you’ll experience.

1 review for LifeLock Identity Theft Protection and Monitoring

  1. phroogal

Identity theft is a real thing and with the recent news of Equifax hack continues to be top of mind. If you believe you’re at a great risk of identity theft, then LifeLock can be of value to you. The subscription fees are low enough to feel secure.

Learn how you can protect your identity. The federal government offers great resources to educate you on ways to protect and regain your identity.

I’ve also reviewed Credit Sesame’s free credit monitoring and identity theft protection service (up to $50,000  for free and upgradable to $1,000,000). That may be a good alternative if you’re on the fence about getting another paid subscription service.

So should you try LifeLock? It can be worth the monthly fee. I suggest checking it out for yourself and decide. I hope this review was helpful. Get LifeLock identity theft protection >
