Passwords are your first line of defense from scammers and online thieves. Make sure you create unique passwords for each of your online accounts especially for your email and financial accounts. Stay away from common words or sequences that can easily be guessed. Don’t use information that is easily found through a simple Google search such as parent’s name, city or date of birth.
To make stronger passwords try using unique combinations of letters, numbers and special characters. It might be difficult to remember the password combination but if you set a system that’s specific to you, you’ll be able to have a varied password that’s hard for online thieves to guess.
Try starting with a phrase such as “My day starts with a glass of water and tea” then turn that to MdswagoH2O&t.
